What does NIE stand for?
NIE is the acronym for Newspaper In Education.

What is NIE?
Newspaper In Education is a nationwide program to help students develop a habit of reading the news. Reading an e-edition on a regular basis can help improve literacy and basic skills, develop lifelong learning and promote citizenship. The NIE Program provides e-editions for classes and online resources for teachers.

Who can participate in NIE?
All classes in Bucks County, Eastern Montgomery County and Burlington County are welcome to participate by receiving e-editions to use for educational purposes.

What does it cost to participate in the NIE program?
There is no charge for classes that receive e-editions on a regular basis. Through the NIE Sponsorship Program local businesses and subscribers donate funds to provide the e-editions to participating schools.

How many days of the week can my class receive e-editions?
The e-edition is available for classes every weekday and the Sunday e-edition can read via the 30-day archive.

Are both print copies of the newspaper and the online digital edition available for my classroom?
