How to receive NIE for your class

Get your students into the newspaper through the NIE Sponsorship Program!
Using the newspaper in the classroom helps students understand our changing world and provides them with a novel way to practice reading, writing and math skills.

The goal of the NIE Sponsorship Program is to form a partnership between sponsors and the educational communities to develop skilled readers, writers and communicators who will lead our nation in the 21st century. The sponsorship program is designed to provide funding for classes that enables them to receive newspapers on a weekly basis.

Who is eligible to participate in the NIE Sponsorship Program?
Any teacher or educator at a school in the Bucks County Courier Times circulation area interested in utilizing the newspaper and NIE materials as a supplement to the classroom curriculum on a regular, extended basis - one or more deliveries per week for the entire school year - is invited to register for the program.

How does the NIE Sponsorship Program work?
Your class will be matched with a participating NIE sponsor (Click here to meet our sponsors) who will provide the funding for your newspapers and materials.

What benefits will your class have?
Your class will receive newspapers on a weekly basis, and you may select several curriculum titles. Your students will be eligible to participate in all NIE projects and contests, including the annual Create an Ad/Write an Editorial Project.
