Interactive NIE Course
Here’s a chance to learn about the joys of NIE. Our one-hour virtual teacher workshop shows you easy strategies for incorporating the electronic edition OR the print editions of the Bucks County Courier Times or The Intelligencer into your curriculum.
This user-friendly distance learning experience is a course that you can take at your own pace. You can take it all at once or just a bit at a time. And, with a pre- and post-test, you’ll be able to see how much you've learned!
Become an NIE Teacher
Last year students in Bucks County and Eastern Montgomery read nearly 2 million newspapers as an integral part of their learning experiences. Why did nearly 1,400 teachers feel the newspaper was a motivational teaching tool in the classroom? Using the newspaper in the classroom helps student understand our changing world and provides them with a novel way to practice reading, writing and math skills.
So become part of the NIE Sponsorship Program today by signing up for one or more weekly deliveries of classroom newspapers. Your class will be matched with a participating sponsor who will provide funding for your newspapers. Teacher guides, student supplements, a DVD and posters are also available for sponsored classes at no charge to you or your school. Sign up online by or call 215-949-4073 now!
